The Sears Undergraduate Design Lab was established in 2006 with a gift to the Case School of Engineering by Larry Sears, '69 and Sally Zlotnick Sears, '72. Laboratory staff, equipment, and operations are funded by a permanent endowment.
A state-of-the-art multi-million-dollar electrical engineering lab, the Sears Undergraduate Design Laboratory provides Case engineering students with an environment that will promote and encourage hands-on engineering and design.
The Design Lab offers a dedicated and experienced staff, a fully-stocked Component Inventory and printed circuit board service (completely free for EECS students), 24/7 access to state-of-the art test equipment, locked, personal storage space, and a comfortable student lounge and meeting area.
I've been designing circuits for almost 50 years, and over that time I've pilfered many interesting circuits. In this space we will regularly publish some of these, and we hope you will find them useful, interesting, and more fun than your date.
